Renovation of Imbaba Automotive Vocational Training Center

The Ghabbour Foundation for Development has celebrated the opening of Imbaba Automotive Vocational Training Center after being renovated and equipped with modern technology at a cost of LE 25 million.

 

The opening was attended by Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil, the Assistant to the President of the Republic for Strategic and National Projects, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, Productivity and Vocational Training Department Chairman Ahmed El Ghamazy, Chairman of Ghabbour Foundation for Development Dr. Raouf Ghabbour as well as the Foundation board of trustees.

 

The renovations included painting and rehabilitating of the school building, equipping the labs and workshops with the newest tools and the latest equipment, and providing a complete firefighting and fire protection systems.

 

The Ghabbour Foundation for Development sought the partnership of Saxony International School (SIS), an educational organization responsible for creating and managing a network of top-tier educational institutions across the German region of Saxony to develop new admissions criteria and evaluation procedures for prospective students, adapting the German vocational education curriculum for use in Imbaba School, establish criteria for hiring teachers as well as teacher training programs, and design school policies.

 

Upon graduation, students will receive diplomas of apprenticeship and certificates from SIS along with their vocational school diplomas. They will be equipped with the skills to pursue a career in the automotive industry, open their own businesses, or pursue higher education. 

 

The Ghabbour Foundation for Development has donated a total of LE 25 million to the renovation and curriculum design for Imbaba School as well as entering into partnership with SIS. The Foundation will donate LE 14 million annually to support school operations and fund student scholarships.
